Gluten- Free, Vegan Waffles

Dry Ingredients:
½ cup buckwheat flour
½ cup quinoa flour
½ cup hemp hearts ground
½ sunflower seeds ground
½ cup pumpkin seeds ground
1/3 cup tapioca flour
1/3 cup arrowroot flour
3 tablespoons flax seeds, ground
3 tablespoons baking powder


Wet ingredients:
½ cup unsweetened applesauce

¼ cup maple syrup (optional)
¼ cup avocado oil
1 tablespoon organic vanilla extract
1 1/3 cup almond or coconut milk

 

Toppings:
Maple syrup, Fruit, Jam, Bacon, Eggs…

Preparation:
1. Heat the waffle maker 15 minutes before you mix the ingredients;
2. Grease the waffle maker with coconut oil and start preparing the batter;
3. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl first;
4. Add the wet ingredients to the bowl with dry ingredients;
5. When the waffle maker is hot enough start pouring the batter. Bake the waffles for 5
minutes. Take into account that each waffle maker is different and the baking time may
be different.
6. The waffles can be served right away. Use savory or sweet toppings, it’s your choice.
